Surveillance Video in Fatal Shooting at 10000 Downs Lane
December 5, 2016 - Houston police have released surveillance video of a wanted suspect vehicle believed involved in the fatal shooting of a woman found at 10000 Downs Lane about 5:45 a.m. on August 23.
The vehicle is described only as possibly a light-colored SUV. Surveillance video of the suspect vehicle can be viewed on the HPD YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/5Z-QhIktTe4
The victim, Rena Lumpkins, 54, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Hassig and Officer T. Ferguson reported:
Ms. Lumpkins was found lying in the street at the above address. She had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. It appears Lumpkins may have been pushed from a vehicle seen leaving the area.
