Investigation into Fatal Shooting of Male Found at 12213 White Cap Lane
August 29, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male found at 12213 White Cap Lane about 11:40 p.m. on Sunday (August 28).
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Officers R. Moss and S. Jimenez reported:
A patrol officer responded to a criminal mischief call at 12214 White Cap Lane and found the victim unresponsive in the front yard of 12213 White Cap Lane. HFD paramedics arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
As officers arrived, they were told by multiple residents that several gunshots were heard in the area and a number of vehicles and houses had sustained gunshots.
The officers found several spent shell casings in various areas surrounding the victim. The officers then observed what appeared to be a gunshot wound on the complainant’s left leg. Homicide investigators and an investigator with the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences arrived and determined the victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
