Investigation into Fatal Crash at 143 Parker Road
August 29, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 143 Parker Road about 3:45 p.m. on Sunday (August 28).
The male victim, 20, was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer S. Le reported:
The victim was driving a black Chevrolet Impala at a high rate of speed westbound on Parker. It is believed the Impala struck a median and veered to the right. The driver lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, struck a fire hydrant and then a light pole. The victim was transported by HFD paramedics to the hospital.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
