Update: Suspect Arrested, Charged in 2015 Fatal Shooting at 3352 Old Spanish Trail
August 12, 2016 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of two others at 3352 Old Spanish Trail about 1:20 a.m. on September 26, 2015.
The suspect, Darrell Aliniece (b/m, 40), is charged with murder in the 178th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Jerry Parker, 42, of Houston, who died at Ben Taub General Hospital.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.A. Holbrook and Officer K. McDonald reported:
Two groups of males got into a confrontation in a nightclub parking lot at the above address. According to witnesses, members of the two groups then exchanged gunfire, killing Mr. Parker and wounding two others. One male was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in an unknown condition. The other, wounded in the arm, refused medical treatment at the scene.
Further investigation identified Aliniece as the suspect in this case. He was taken into custody on Thursday (Aug. 11) and charged for his role in Parker's death.
