Fatal Crash at 3700 Jeanetta
August 4, 2016 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 3700 Jeanette about 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The male victim, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Mares and Officer F. Briones reported:
The victim was operating a gray Suzuki 750 motorcycle northbound on Jeanetta and crossed over into oncoming traffic to pass and get in front of several vehicles ahead of him. The victim lost control of the motorcycle, was ejected and then struck by a blue GMC Sierra pickup truck traveling southbound on Jeanetta. The victim died at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck, who was not injured, remained at the scene and was questioned and released.
