Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8700 Broadway #1390
April 11, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of two males at 8700 Broadway #1390 about 11:40 p.m. on Saturday (April 9).
The two victims are identified as Curtis Jefferson and Trenton Harris, both of Houston.
HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers T. Tyler and M. Coleman reported:
Officers were dispatched to a home invasion/shooting call to an apartment at the above address. Upon their arrival, officers located witnesses and observed two males (Harris and Jefferson) deceased with apparent gunshot wounds. One of the witnesses stated he was asleep in his bedroom when he was awakened by suspicious activity. The witness stated he opened up his bedroom door and observed a black male suspect, approximately 16 to 18 years old, armed with a gun inside his residence. The witness said he then hid in the room. A short time later, the witness left his room and observed the two victims deceased. Another witness stated that after the shooting, he observed four black males running in the area and getting into a black (possibly a 2012) Ford F-150 pickup truck with heavily tinted windows.
