UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 10630 Beechnut


September 23, 2015 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man and the wounding of a woman at 10630 Beechnut about 9:15 p.m. on September 17.    

The suspect, Davion Ross (b/m, 22), is charged with murder in the 176th State District Court.  A photo of Ross is attached to this news release.

The victim, Kensley Provosty Paul, 26, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The female victim, 19, was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital with non life-threatening wounds.  

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer J. Villareal and Officer R. Lujan reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment at the above address.  Officers arrived and found Mr. Paul and a woman had sustained gunshot wounds.  The suspect fled the scene in Paul's white 2013 Ford Focus, with Texas license plates FTM 0876.  

Further investigation led to the identification of Ross as a suspect in this case and, on Tuesday (Sept. 22), he was arrested without incident by members of the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force.
