UPDATE: Investigation into Woman Found Deceased at 7400 Scott Street
September 16, 2015 - Houston police have learned the identity of a woman found deceased at 7400 Scott Street about 2:05 p.m. on July 27.
The victim, Jacqueline Marie Anderson, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her cause of death is pending autopsy results from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. A photo of Ms. Anderson is attached to this news release.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Tolls and Senior Police Officer R. Cervantes reported:
Two witnesses were cleaning up trash around a former convenience store at the above address and smelled a foul odor. The witnesses then found a decomposed body lying underneath the trash, along a concrete embankment. The victim was subsequently identified as Ms. Anderson by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. Family members stated she was homeless.
The investigation is pending her cause of death.
