Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 1445 Lakeside Estates
November 2, 2015 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man at 1445 Lakeside Estates about 11:25 p.m. last Friday (October 30).
The suspect, Reinaldo Cardoso Rivera (H/m, 38), is charged with murder in the 182nd State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Darwin Perez Gonzalez, 34, of the above address, who died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Harris and Senior Police Officer M. Waters II reported:
Five males were fixing dinner and drinking in an apartment at the above address. The suspect, Rivera, became angry when Mr. Gonzalez took a last piece of chicken. Both men got into an argument that escalated into a fist fight in the parking lot of the complex. At some point, Rivera stabbed Gonzalez and, according to witnesses, fled the scene with the knife.
Rivera later returned to the scene and admitted to officers he stabbed Gonzalez. He was taken into custody and subsequently charged. Officers recovered a kitchen knife in Rivera's possession.
