May 29, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 8000 Fondren about 2:20 a.m. on May 24.
The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer D. Ashford reported:

The male driver, 26, of a blue Toyota Corolla was traveling north on Fondren when he lost control of the vehicle near Beechnut Street, went up on a grass median and struck two trees.  The driver and a backseat male passenger were ejected from the Toyota.  The passenger was later pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital.  The driver and two other passengers, a male and a female, were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
