May 4, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 5039 Reed Road about 1 p.m. on Sunday (May 3).  

The victim, Dexter Filer, 19, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant. C. Hassig and Officer T. Ferguson reported:  

Mr. Filer was with friends in a strip center parking lot at the above address when an unknown suspect pulled up in a vehicle of unknown make or model and fired several shots from inside the vehicle striking Filer.  
HFD paramedics were called and transported Filer to the hospital.  

At this time, there are no known suspects.
