March 31, 2015 - The fatal shooting of a man at 8300 Park Place at 1:10 a.m. on March 26 will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The identity of the male victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

The male shooter was not injured in the incident.

HPD Homicide Division Officers S. Overstreet and D. Stark reported:

The victim and suspect were involved in an altercation among ex-family members of the victim's current girlfriend.  The victim suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.  The suspect stated to HPD homicide investigators he acted in self defense.  Witnesses to the incident have also spoken to investigators.
