March 20, 2015 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested for his involvement at least three robberies in northwest Houston since February.
The suspect, Byron McGrough (b/m, 21), is charged with robbery with bodily injury in the 228th State District Court.

McGrough is believed responsible for robberies at the following locations.
- Walmart at 13484 Northwest Freeway on February 2.
- Walmart at 10750 Westview on February 21
- Walmart at 10750 Westview on March 1
In each incident, an unknown male suspect, in a black Pontiac Grand Am, drove up to the female victim as she walked to her vehicle in the parking lot. He then leaned out of the driver's side window and stole the victim's purse. In two of the robberies, the victim was dragged to the ground as the suspect vehicle fled the scene.
Those victims suffered minor injuries.
Acting on a Crime Stoppers tip, investigators obtained information on the suspect's identity and whereabouts.
McGrough was positively identified and today (March 20), he was arrested without incident.
