March 2, 2015 - A male critically injured in a traffic accident at 1300 Blalock about 1:40 p.m. on February 20 has died from his injuries.
The victim, a pedestrian, 22, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition and, on Thursday (February 25), he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Roberts reported:
The driver of a tan Chevrolet Suburban was making a left turn from Westview onto Blalock when the victim stepped out into the street. The victim was then struck by the Suburban. The driver of the Suburban, who remained at the scene, was questioned and released.
No charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
