June 30, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred at 3800 Pinemont Drive about 12:10 a.m. today.

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Roberts and Officer A. Hart reported:

According to a witness, she and the victim exited a Metro bus at the above address. The victim was seen walking into the middle of the street and lying down. The witness said several vehicles were able to swerve and avoid striking the male. A dark-colored sport utility vehicle of unknown make or model then struck the victim and did not stop. The witness then flagged down an officer for help.
