Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 9051 Spikewood
June 24, 2015 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 9051 Spikewood about 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday (June 23).
The suspect, Rodney Jackson, (b/m, 49), is charged with murder in the 262nd State District Court. He is accused in the killing of Jason S. Yanko, 40, of Houston, who died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Hassig and Officer T. Ferguson reported:
Mr. Yanko was Jackson's supervisor at Val-Fit, Inc. and told Jackson he was being terminated from the company. Jackson then left the building, went to his vehicle, and retrieved a handgun. Jackson returned to the front door of the business where Yanko stopped him before he could re-enter the building. Jackson then shot Yanko several times and fled the scene in a stolen company vehicle, described as a white Ford F-350 flatbed pickup truck with Texas license plates BN8-1425.
