June 8, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 6100 East Houston Road about 2:10 p.m. today (June 5).

The male victim, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Kung and Officer R. Romo reported:

The victim was operating a black Suzuki motorcycle at a high rate of speed southbound on East Houston Road. The driver of a maroon Ford Expedition was driving northbound on East Houston Road and, as he attempted to turn left onto Howton Drive, the motorcycle struck the Ford on the front driver side area. The victim died at the scene. The driver of the Expedition, determined to not be intoxicated, was questioned and released at the scene.
