Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 188 North Sam Houston Parkway
July 15, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a robbery suspect at 188 North Sam Houston Parkway East about 3:05 p.m. on Tuesday (July 14).
The male suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Officers I. Ulloa and E. Wohlgemuth reported:
The suspect entered a liquor store at the above address and attempted to rob an employee at gunpoint. The employee and suspect then got into a physical altercation and, while fighting over the gun, the weapon discharged. The suspect was struck and died at the scene. The employee was not injured in the incident.
The investigation is continuing.
