Investigation into Remains Found at 4000 Gulf Freeway
July 10, 2015 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on skeletal remains found at 4000 Gulf Freeway (South Interstate Highway 45) service road about 9 a.m. today (July 10).
At this time, the gender and ethnicity of the unidentified remains has not been determined.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Tolls and Senior Police Officer R. Cervantes reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a call of a person found deceased in a muddy, grassy area beneath a ramp near the University of Houston General Services Building. Officers arrived and found the remains.
The investigation is pending the cause of death, to be determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
