Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4338 South Loop
July 6, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 4338 South Loop (South Interstate Highway 610) about 8:05 p.m. on Saturday (July 4).
The identity of the female victim, 68, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant T. Trometer and Officer F. Flynn reported:
The victim was driving a green Ford Taurus eastbound on the South Loop when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle went off the road just before the Cullen exit and struck a tree and some bushes. The female driver was pronounced dead at Ben Taub General Hospital. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
