January 20, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 7000 Gulf Freeway (Interstate Highway 45 South) about 11:20 a.m. on Sunday (Jan. 18).

The identity of the deceased male victim, 25, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer E. Morgado reported:

The victim was driving a black Acura Integra northbound on the Gulf Freeway when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle struck the guard rail and a concrete divider.  The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.  

The investigation is continuing.
