January 14, 2015 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results on skeletal remains found at 9500 Fannin about 10:50 a.m. on Tuesday (January 13).
The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences determined the remains to be human, with gender and cause of death pending verification at this time.
HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers M. Coleman and T. Tyler reported:
Workers conducting a survey of the area near the above address found bones in a vacant field on Fannin. HPD patrol officers responded to the scene. Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences personnel arrived and verified the bones were those of a human.
