February 5, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4700 Arvilla Lane about 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday (Feb. 3).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Robles and Officer I. Ulloa reported:

Witnesses stated several males were interacting with one another inside a vehicle at the above address when a possible gunshot was heard and the victim was then seen lying in the street. The vehicle left the area. Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. At this time, investigators believe robbery was the motive in the shooting.
