Investigation into Fatal Crash at 7900 South Freeway
December 2, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 7900 South Freeway (State Highway 288) at 9:40 a.m. today.
The identity of the male victim, 41, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant P. Lee and Officer K. Heaverlo reported:
The driver of a white Dodge flat bed truck was traveling northbound on the South Freeway service road approaching Holmes when the driver ran the stop sign and struck a white GMC pickup truck, traveling westbound on Holmes. The driver of the GMC pickup truck was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is continuing.
