Investigation into Fatal Crash at 6500 North Loop East
August 28, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 6500 North Loop East (North Interstate Highway 610 East) about 3:05 a.m. today.
The male victim, 61, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Rossman and Officer T. Branford reported:
The victim was driving a black Toyota Camry eastbound on the North Loop East. For unknown reasons, the vehicle veered out of its lane and struck the inside concrete retaining wall, then went across all eastbound lanes and came to a stop. According to witnesses, the victim was having difficulty breathing and may have suffered a medical episode that led to the accident. HFD paramedics arrived and pronounced the victim deceased.
