Investigation into Fatal Crash at 13000 Almeda Road
August 26, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 13000 Almeda Road about 3 p.m. on Tuesday (August 25).
The male victim, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeants P. Kung, P. Lee and Senior Police Officer C. Tosso reported:
The driver (victim) of a blue Cadillac CTS struck the rear of a gold Lexus Es 330 in the 3300 block of West Fuqua and fled the scene. The driver of the Lexus then followed the Cadillac to the 13000 block of Almeda Road. As the Cadillac made a U-turn toward the southbound lanes of Almeda Road, the Cadillac was struck by a gold Nissan Murano. The driver of the Cadillac died at the scene. The driver of the Murano was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in stable condition.
The investigation is continuing.
