Investigation into Fatal Crash at 4900 Yarwell
August 10, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 4900 Yarwell about 8:50 p.m. on Saturday (August 8).
The identity of the victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer E. Morgado reported:
The victim was driving a silver Hyundai Accent eastbound at a high rate of speed in the 4900 block of Yarwell when he disregarded a stop sign. The victim failed to drive in a single lane and struck a concrete wall. He died at the scene. A passenger in the vehicle was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
