Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 6300 West Bellfort
August 10, 2015 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a woman at 6300 West Bellfort about 5:30 p.m. on Sunday (August 9).
The suspect, Felix Lozano-Hernandez (H/m, 56), is charged with murder in the 263rd State District Court. He is accused in the killing of his girlfriend, Blanca Edubina De Leon-Mazariegos, 44, who died at the scene. A photo of the wanted suspect is not available at this time.
HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer J. Saldana and Officer G. Sullivan reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting at the above address and found Ms. De Leon-Mazariegos deceased inside her residence. According to witnesses, Lozano-Hernandez was reportedly inside the apartment when the shooting occurred. He is believed to have fled the scene in a green Ford Ranger pickup truck with Texas license plates CTK8171.
