April 6, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 13000 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) about 1:30 p.m. on Saturday (April 4).

The male victim, 64, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant W. Shields and Officer O. Bledsoe reported:

The victim was operating a gold Honda Aspencade motorcycle with a trailer eastbound on the Katy Freeway between Eldridge Parkway and Dairy Ashford. For unknown reasons, the victim lost control of the motorcycle and both he and his female passenger were ejected. The motorcycle continued on the freeway and struck the rear of a white Infiniti QX80. The victim was then transported to the hospital. The female, 68, suffered injuries to her leg and was transported to an area hospital. The driver of the Infiniti was not injured.
