April 20, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal traffic accident that occurred at 9800 Kirkwood about 10:45 a.m. today (April 20).  

The female victim  was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer O. Lewis reported:  

The driver of a green Chevrolet Silverado pickup and the victim got into a domestic dispute.  The driver then got into his pickup truck and attempted to leave.  The victim, who was pregnant, tried to stop the driver from leaving and grabbed onto the driver's side door of the truck as it was moving.  The victim was then struck by the vehicle.  The driver remained at the scene and called 9-1-1.  HFD paramedics responded and transported the victim to the hospital where she died.  The child was delivered at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital and then transported via Life Flight Helicopter to Memorial Hermann Hospital for observation.  

At this time, no charges have been filed.  The investigation is continuing.
