April 9, 2015 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man found at 5638 Selinsky about 11:05 p.m. on April 4.  

The suspect, Rouchelle Smith (b/m, 22), is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court.  A photo of Smith is attached to this news release.

The victim, Torrance Kemp, 26, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. A. Holbrook and Officer W. Gilbert reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting in-progress call at the above address.  Officers and HFD paramedics responded to the scene.  Paramedics then transported Kemp to the hospital.  

Further investigation identified Smith as a suspect in this case and, on Monday (April 6), he was arrested and charged for his role in this case.
