September 22, 2014 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a male at 10350 Lands End about 2:45 a.m. on Saturday (September 20).

The suspect, Sayed Rahim Haidaree (A/m, 25) is charged with murder in the 180th State District Court.  A photo of Haidaree is attached to this news release.

The victim, Abdul Wasay, suffered multiple lacerations and was transported an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

HPD Homicide Division Officers C. Cardenas and J. Horn reported:

A number of tenants of the apartment complex at the above address began arguing.  During the argument, Haidaree produced a knife and fatally stabbed Mr. Wasay.  HPD officers arrested Sayed Rahim without incident a short time later.
