September 16, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man at 5508 Clinton at 10:50 a.m. today (Sept. 16).

The identity of the male victim, 58, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officer S. Sylvester reported:

The victim was loading rigging equipment onto a trailer at the above address when a large piece of equipment fell and struck him. The victim was struck in the abdomen and suffered a severe laceration. The force and weight of the equipment caused the victim to collapse. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
