September 15, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 2800 Hardy about 10 a.m. on Saturday (Sept. 13).

The identity of the male victim, 60, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer E. Morgado reported:

The victim was driving a white Ford van southbound on Hardy Road when he failed to drive in a single lane, struck a parked truck, a fence and then a tree.  The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.  No other persons were involved in the accident.

The investigation is continuing.
