September 12, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 11000 Kinghurst about 9:15 p.m. on Thursday (Sept. 11).

The victim, Saul Cifuentes, 28, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Pool and Senior Police Officer S. Straughter reported:

Mr. Cifuentes and his brother went to an apartment complex at the above address to meet an individual regarding a craigslist ad for a PlayStation 4 system the individual said he was selling.  After arriving at the location, Cifuentes and his brother were met by an unknown black male suspect who demanded money from them.  Following a brief exchange of words, the suspect shot Cifuentes and then fled on foot.  Paramedics arrived and pronounced Cifuentes deceased.  His brother was not injured.
