September 12, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 5600 West Bellfort about 10:55 p.m. on Thursday (Sept. 11).

The identities of the two deceased males, 21 and 22 years of age, are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Nickerson and Officer Y. Haq reported:

The male driver of a blue Honda Accord was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on West Bellfort when he lost control of the vehicle, which struck the curb on the center median and then a tree.  The driver and his lone passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is continuing.
