September 8, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 5900 Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) about 7:35 p.m. last Friday (September 5).

The identity of the female victim, 20, is pending identification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer L. Tram reported:

The victim was driving a black Dodge Durango eastbound on the Katy Freeway when she failed to maintain a single lane, struck a concrete wall and then a concrete pillar.  The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.  There were no other occupants or vehicles involved in the accident.
