October 20, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 900 West Little York about 8:10 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 19).
The male victim was transported to Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital where he was pronounced dead at the scene. A horse also died in the accident.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Lopez and Officer N. Luu reported:
The victim was driving a red Chevrolet Tahoe westbound on West Little York when he failed to control his speed and struck a man riding a horse. The Tahoe then left the roadway where it struck a telephone pole and a fence. The rider was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
There are no charges in this incident.
