October 15, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run traffic accident at 9000 West Airport Boulevard about 6:30 a.m. today.

The male victim, Bobby Brooks, 56, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant R. Dukes and Officer K. Heaverlo reported:

Mr. Brooks was riding a bicycle southbound in the 8100 block of Hansen and entered the pedestrian crosswalk. An unidentified yellow school bus, traveling northbound on Hansen, had a green light and turned right onto West Airport Boulevard, striking Mr. Brooks. The driver of the school bus then fled the scene.
