October 6, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 10400 White Clover about 12:25 a.m. today (Oct. 6).
The identity of the male victim is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant L. Ross and Officer D. Ashford reported:
The victim, driving a silver Chevrolet Silverado, was traveling westbound on White Clover when he failed to maintain a single lane, went over the curb and then struck a wrought iron fence. A witness stated the driver then left the scene on foot. Responding officers were not able to locate the driver and made a report on the accident.
At 11:40 a.m., patrol officers then responded to a report of a person down at 11023 Overlea, less than a block from the original crash. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He suffered injuries consistent with the previous accident on White Clover. In addition, the vehicle was registered to an individual at 11023 Overlea. There were no other vehicles nor person(s) involved in this accident.
The investigation is continuing.
