November 3, 2014 - uston police are asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 220 Northpoint about 2:50 p.m. on October 1.
The suspects are described only as two Hispanic males in their 20s, about 6 feet to 6 feet 4 inches tall, with slim builds. Composite sketches of both suspects are attached to this news release.
The victim, Arturo Segura-Estrada, 48, suffered a gunshot wound to his torso and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Rhoads and Officers R. Ridel and T. Colbert reported:
A Houston Fire Department EMS crew responded to a report of an unresponsive male at the above location. Upon arrival, medics pronounced Mr. Segura-Estrada deceased and contacted HPD.
Further investigation determined Segura-Estrada left his apartment to go to the store when he was confronted and shot by the suspects in the parking lot. Both males fled the scene on foot immediately after the shooting. Witnesses reported seeing both males walking around the complex and approaching other people prior to the shooting.
