May 21, 2014 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found at 5500 Lyndhurst about 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday (May 20).
The victim, 53, suffered an unknown type of wound and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Senior Police Officer T. Andrade reported:
A witness stopped by HFD Station 35 and told paramedics a man had possibly been involved in an accident at the above location. HFD paramedics responded to the scene and found the victim unresponsive and with an unknown type of wound under his arm. He was then transported to the hospital.
The investigation is pending the victim's cause of death, to be determined by an autopsy.
