May 19, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run traffic accident at 6000 South Gessner about 2:15 a.m. on Sunday (May 18).

The identity of the male victim, 25, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Nickerson and Officer F. Flynn reported:

The victim attempted to cross the roadway at the above address when he was struck by an unknown vehicle.  The vehicle was traveling south on South Gessner and did not stop.
