March 31, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 8526 Baker about 12:30 a.m. on Saturday (March 29).  

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. A. Holbrook and Officer L. Bailey reported:  

Late Friday (March 28) or early Saturday, neighbors saw the residence's  front door at the above address standing open.  Concerned, neighbors walked over and found one of the residents (victim) deceased in the front yard.  He appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound.  

At this time, there are no known witnesses nor suspects.
