March 7, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 8565 West Sam Houston Parkway South about 8:30 p.m. on Thursday (March 6).  

The victim,  age unknown, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Rhoads and Officer S. Sylvester reported:  

The victim was shot several times in the parking lot of an apartment complex at the above address.  Witnesses reported seeing an unknown male suspect leaving the area where the victim was found.  The suspect then left the scene in a 2010 to 2011 black Acura.
