March 3, 2014 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a male found at 8900 Manchester about 8:45 a.m. last Thursday (Feb. 27).
The male has been identified as Antonio Saldivar, 17, of Houston,
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Sturdivant and Senior Police Officer D. Arnold reported:
Mr. Saldivar was reported missing on Feb. 15 after his vehicle was found crashed and abandoned about 4:30 a.m. in the 8000 block of Harrisburg on that day. The vehicle apparently struck a concrete bridge support column. Witnesses reported last speaking to Saldivar about 20 minutes prior to the discovery of the accident.
Saldivar's body was found in the Houston Ship Channel last Thursday (Feb. 27) in the 8900 block of Manchester.
There were no visible signs of trauma to his body.
The investigation is pending Salidivar's cause of death, to be determined by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
