June 9, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 11500 Leitrim about 3:15 p.m. on Friday (June 6).
The male, 32, and female, 23, victims, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer H. Nguyen reported:
The owner of a green Jaguar told police his car was stolen from a store by a person known in the neighborhood. While looking for his vehicle, he observed the two victims in the Jaguar and began following them. The male driver of the Jaguar began driving at a high rate of speed, lost control of the vehicle, and struck a tree.
No other individuals were injured in this incident.
