July 28, 2014 - A man critically injured in a traffic accident at 11600 Westheimer about 11:35 a.m. on July 15 has died from his injuries.

The identity of the victim, 55, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Francois and Senior Police Officer O. Lewis reported:

Witnesses stated a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was traveling westbound on Westheimer when the driver ran the red light at the intersection of Woodland Park.  The truck struck a white Honda Accord traveling southbound on Woodland Park. The driver of the Accord was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where doctors pronounced him deceased earlier today (July 28).  The driver of the Silverado was cited for running a red light.  No charges have been filed in the accident at this time.  The investigation is continuing.
