July 17, 2014 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found at 5900 Old Spanish Trail about 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday (July 16).

The victim, believed to be middle-aged, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity and cause of death are pending an examination by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants S. Murdock and H. Garcia reported:

Employees of a business near the above address observed the victim's body floating in Brays Bayou. One of the employees recovered the victim near the embankment and called police.

The investigation is continuing.
