July 7, 2014 - The fatal shooting of a man at 11400 Panay about 9:05 p.m. on Saturday (July 5) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The victim, Corbin George, 17, of the above address, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer T. Andrade and Officer T. Colbert reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found Mr. George had suffered a gunshot wound.  Witnesses reported George's friend had brought a gun to the residence for safe keeping.  As George reached for the gun, witnesses said he was accidentally shot.
